To-Do List

One of the oldest forms of organization, I've included a to-do list to help deal with stress. Organized in a checkbox format, it's easy to mark off events or reminders that have already been completed or passed, helping the user navigate their daily schedule. It can also be organized by day and a search bar is included for immediate access to a specific event or reminder.

Photos

The photos function works just like any other photo app, except it's synced to the regular photo app that's already on the phone. It only downloads the photos that are in the "liked" album of the phone, meaning the user would have to manually choose their favorite photos. It's designed this way so that the user wouldn't have to look at photos that would otherwise make them unhappy. Un-liking the photos in their normal photo app will get rid of the photos in PositivMe.

Daily Reminders/Notifications

The app sends notifications whether the app is open or not of compliments everyday. It's purpose is to cheer up the user and make them smile if they ever find themselves overwhelmed by negative opinions.

Playlist

The playlist option is there for happy songs or videos that puts the user in a good mood. To add new songs, the "plus" button at the bottom is linked to YouTube so that they can add not only songs, but videos, too.

Awareness Resources

The resources tab includes links to a variety of mental health awareness organizations and help hotlines. It's also useful to read about mental health topics so that more people can learn how to help someone with a mental illness.

Journal

The journal function works like a "Notes" and "Google docs" app combined. The date of a new entry will be at the top where the user can go back to edit if they need to. It serves as an outlet for writing out someone's thoughts and pent up emotions that they may not have anyone to confide in.
